Yupping it Up in the UP

We have arrived in the UP (Upper Peninsula) between Lake superior and Lake Michigan, flanked by lake Huron. This is Michigan's only state fair. Our lot size is nice but we are located a little off the beaten track near one of the back gates. All is good though because we have been pulling in great audiences.  Being a state fair there is a slightly different feeling than the local county fairs. Once example is that at the smaller fairs we have a larger number of "stalkers" or regulars. Here the number of stalkers are smaller since folks only come one or two days to a state fair. So we have nearly 100% fresh audiences every time. We still have those folks who attend every show on any given day but they only come for that one day.
On the show front Cousin Wes, the clown, has really made a name for himself with the crowds. Ten minutes before each show he goes out and clowns around with the families and folks in the stands.  He  also attracts people passing by who might otherwise not stop.
Ryan is doing well as our sound guy.  It's a tough job playing the same music for the same acts over and over and over again.
The Maraca (water tower) in Escanaba has a happy face...Mami loves that kind of thing so we shot it.
 High Fives.
Ryan as T master Robot ranger.  Wesley as his security.

This special young lady fell in love with Maximus. Her mom told me she never lets anyone push her let alone touch her. She let me do both. Maybe the Titus connection unseen but felt made the difference.

 Wife and robo-hubby.

Meeting Dick Oslund, a famous national school show magician who has been everywhere. He is also from the old circus days and has know some of the greats in our busniness. He makes the UP his home now. He came out just to see us, what an honor.
Heck of nice guy but our visit was cut short when Mami informed me the RV AC fan motor had died. Luckily an RV store in town had one but I had only the time between the time I met Dick to the next show (less than an hour) to run and get it....you don't want to be w/out AC out here.  So I did just that and after the last show I spent until sunset changing that sucker. Thanks dad for giving me the dna and experience to do that kind of work.

Last day with CC daughter and robot dad go for a stroll.
