Gizzards and Arts

While Jim is hard at work this week marketing like a maniac I took the rest of the crew over to a vendors' Mall. That is a store that has booth spaces and each space has various goods for sale. Sometimes they are antiques, sometimes, sundries of every type, tools, furniture, etc.  Basically indoor flea concession flea market. As the economy has been circling the toilet more and more of these second hand stores are popping up and they are all busy.   They are a lot of fun too. You run into all kinds of old things or unique things that  you might not be able to find anywhere else.   Today there was one section that had 8 tract tapes.
In one area there were tools and I found a box of clamps and challenged the kids to put them on their noses.....they did.....but not for very long.

The owner's very large cat lives in the store. I mean large. Fat might describe her better. But supper friendly.

The weather today started off with crazy strong wind. It was cold for most the day but by evening was nice.

I was hoping we could turn tomorrow into fishing day but the insurance folks arranged for the windshield on the Ford to be replaced and that means it has to sit around all day drying. So we will see what we can do.

A good chuck of the day the kids worked on their acts.  Amelia worked on the silks (a trapeze like thing) you know those long clothes that dancers perform stunts on from a trapeze rigging.   The boys tried to have a unicycle race and amazingly the novice, Wesley, beat the pro, JIm. They all have their versions of what happened. But in opinion, as long as they are practicing then good.  Besides the show work there was home school too. Everyone are working very hard in both areas.

A woman from Kalamazoo took a number of photos of the kids in practice. Apparently she has some connections so we will see if that develops into anything.

We have been slowly getting responses to Jim's marketing.  Not to jinx anything I will keep things under my hat until the contracts are signed.

There is a chicken restaurant near us that sells fired chicken Gizzards.  We decided to try them. We took video and Jim should have an edit of that soon.   Let me just say all of us except Amelia loved them.  We had them with scalloped potatoes, corn, and collard greens for dinner. Fat and happy.
