Beech Bend Amusement Park

We are here. We made it through the thunderstorms, tornadoes, and other weather threats and made it to Bowling Green, KY, to Beech Bend Amusement Park.
The last night at the Jelly Stone RV Camp in St Louis was free of charge in exchange for us doing a small show.   It was a lot of fun and everyone seem to enjoy themselves.  We had originally thought of traveling to Ky that day but radar showed the storm that had hit us the day before was sitting between us and them, so we stayed.
The kids had a great day of relaxation and Mami and I even had a chance to play shuffle board. She beat me.
Set up at the park was really tough this year. Not having CC and Miles sure made a difference. Also having a new guy, Ryan, (this was technically his first full set up) to show the ropes slowed things up.  But it's all up now and the stage looks nice and our six shows since getting there all went well and are drawing larger crowds than the in house shows at the park.   Yesterday KBKO TV spent an hour taping parts of our show to use in five minute segments this whole week to promote the show since we are billed as a special attraction.
We usually perform in July. This year is our first June performance. It is really comfortable, weather-wise.
Ky is really beautiful and green right now and all of our audiences (and the folks we've interacted with outside the park) have all been wonderful.  This is an awesome state.  We felt like we were arriving home when we crossed the border from Indiana.
Amelia and I celebrate our birthdays yesterday. Mami made her a wonderful piggy cake and today she made me a heart-shaped cherry pie.
 Here I am celebrating 48th!
