New York to West Virginia

Howdy all.
It has been a really really really crazy two weeks.
We finished in NY (New Paltz) Ulster County Fair on Sunday and after a bit of trouble with a couple staffers at the fair while trying to get off the fair (the manager OK'ed us leaving before fair closing time due to our need to get to WV by the next day. But one parking lot person and an Ag related supervisor didn't like us doing it and yelled at me. I am glad it was only at me and not any of my family or crew.  The manager straightened things out and all was groovy, but we were now 2 hours behind schedule with a loooooong drive ahead of us.
The Ulster Fair itself was fantastic as were the audiences and vendors and sars the two afore mentioned people the staff was really great to us.
Mami's childhood friend (hasn't seen in 31 years) lives in NJ and drove up to see us on the second to last day. She and her husband were very nice, we clicked rather well, I think.   It's nice to meet Mami's old friends but it is even better when I get along with their spouses.
James, Titus, Kyle and I all got hit with colds.   Kyle ended up at the doctor's with bronchitis. He is still coughing up phlegm but  he is getting better.   It hasn't slowed him down very much.   He has been a great addition to the crew this year.
We ended up booking a fair in VA for next week.  It was a last minute thing and a gift from God, as far as I am concerned. We had enough time off this past Spring.
We still haven't had a hot summer. The hottest these past two weeks is maybe 85*.
The drive from NY took us 90 miles from the PA southern border where we arrived at a camp at 1AM.   We were on the road the next day by 9 and made it to Mannington by 2:45pm. The kids immediately started to set up as Mami and I hit the town to restore our badly diminished supplies. Our first show was Monday at 8pm and we had a second at 10pm.  It was very moist in the foggy sense so we were all drenched with dew and sweat by the end of the day.   But both shows went well and we got to see a whole bunch of our friends and fans from last year.
Jim, Titus and Victor all got pounded by their colds. Victor and Titus ended up throwing up and Jim and Titus had fevers.   A true trouper Jim performed as much of his act as he could and slept between shows.During his nap his fever broke and he appeared on stage for the last show drenched in fever sweat but was feeling so much better.   That night we all slept very well, very deep, and very late.  Mami said it when she said Mannington is a relaxing place.  Since arriving we all seem to have relaxed and our various bugs are vanishing.
Monday was Cousin Wes and Miles' last night with as as both had to go back to school. Cousin Kris came down from Ohio and picked them up and was even kind enough to return to Ohio via Kentucky to drop Miles off.
Well....got more to do so I will continue this story and many others later on. Talk again soon.
