Day 4! Keeping it chill! One small worry.

We are due in Oklahoma for the Walleye Rodeo (a fishing festival) on Friday. Until then we have to drive there. In one shot it would take about 12-13 hours. So we did half of that today. With a high wind at our back we were able to make good time and good gas mileage. (10-12 mpg...we aren't driving Prius'.)
The little ones did homeschooling under Mami's tutor-ledge. Titus watched Little Rascals, Ernest, and other dvds and the big kids, well, I have no idea what they did as they were in the van....we are in the RV.
Since Mr. David Jackson of the Los Angeles Spring Fair and West Cost festivals screwed us out of thousands while dining on Tri-tip sandwiches and funnel cakes at that fair three weeks ago, we have been doing this tour an a shoe string budget. (((( I hope he enjoyed it.))) Still Mami can make an awesome meal out of almost anything and we have been doing well.
One worry was when I noticed a gas pool under our RV after the fill up. We had a leak. I wasn't constant, it only happens as we get to the full point. At the RV park Nick went under and explored the hoses and tank and couldn't find anything. So I had to man up and get under. Wrenching into interesting positions I discovered that someone a long time ago put a zip tie on part of the overflow hose (the small one the top off gas goes through to the tank. ) It had been zipped right at the point where the hose meets the pipe-nipple on the tank. Time and rough roads wore the rubber around the zip tie and made it like a siv. So when the tank fills up and gas runs up from the tank and or down the overflow hose it leaks out.
Thankfully in this little New Mexican town there are two auto parts stores so tomorrow morning we get a new hose. What a trip.
I am still looking for that uneventful day.
