I Can See Clearly Now the Crack is Gone

Let me take this first paragraph to get anyone not familiar to our blog or us, in general, caught up with the on going drama of "Pigs in Space"...wait the was a flashback to the Muppet Show in the 70s.  I meant to say the 2014 tour of the Kent Family Circus.

We left the 2nd of March to open our tour at the Louisville Kid's Fair in Kentucky. We took the southern hwy 40 route to avoid the inevitable ice and snow of the hwy 80 route.  We missed any "bad"weather by inches along the drive and were blessed with narely a need to turn on the wipers.  The Fair is the largest indoor kids fair in the world and the building was very cool. We actually got to drive upto the second floor and park our show trailers behind pipe and drape. Little did anyone attending that behind the backdrop was a muddy, road-salt stained cargo trailer that housed our show.   We introduced all three of our robots including the yet un-named red and white one.  The shows were packed and we were invited back for 2015.  When we booked the show we were hoping that we would pick up local school shows for the rest of March and maybe another sizable gig.  The foul weather, snow days, and bad luck scratched that from happening.  Half joking and half serious I put out a call for help and I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the people who opened their hearts and wallets to help keep us going through this month.  Jim and I , but mostly Jim has been marketing the show on all the social media pages, he's been calling schools, churches, libraries, day cares, old folks homes, cemetaries, alternate realities, and any other possible venue to try and get us booked. So far we have two libraries booked and a number of emails and calls from schools, churches, festivals and fairs from GA, ME, IN, KY, TN, etc.

Today the weather was the best it has been all year. Blue skies. it contrasts with a freezing ominous sky-ed yesterday. But as the saying goes if you don't like the weather out here wait a few minutes, it will change.

To break up the cabin fever and sludge fatigue.  (You see after snow and sleet comes sludge and mud...everywhere.)  To break it up I have been taking the kids fishing, antiquing, and yesterday we tried chicken gizzards ...I posted the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22KkIF_y9LY#t=109

There has been one other thing that has been going on that I am not sure if I shared with you.  I have a tumor in my spine and a few years ago they did surgery on it.  Two months later I fell (and it was just like out of an old vaudeville show kind of fall) and did permanent nerve damage.  So the  new rv also came with a brand new mattress. But at home I have one of those number beds (they work fantastic on back pain).  I have been putting up with the mattress but finally had to get one of those chambered air mattresses from Walmart. For the first time this trip I slept very well last night.  However, i didn't go to bed until 6AM.....we really are trying to get that marketing done.

Over the years our vehicles have had tons of tires changed, axles replace, front ends rebuilt, new transmissions, various seals and plugs replaced, but for the first time on the Ford, while on tour we had to have the windshield changed.  I tell you those guys were outa sight. They came to the RV park, they had the old one out and the new one in in less than 30 minutes and I might be exaggerating on liberal side.  None of us have ever seen anyone do that so the circus watched the workmen.....  The crack came from a tiny nick that on a very cold morning....snow on the windshield got awashed in warm air from the defroster. We all actually got to watch the crack snake across the entire windshield.  Thankfully my AAA insurance covered it except for the $50 deductible.  The workers told me hd my policy been in KY there is no deductible for glass.

The kids made shmores again today.

Wesley tried his had at the trapeze today as well.

Gizzards....the Movie

Above is the youtube link for our Gizzard tasting experience.

I Have a dream ( part 2 of the last blog your probably read)

Over 400 years ago my family came to America.   During that time we have worked our butts off to support and defend the constitution. I am sure there were members of the family that wanted to put money ahead of others.  Most just wanted to make a life and pass on good values to their kids. At least once generation lost sight of that and life and pressures, and things we will never know created a generation of alcoholics and gov't dependants.  A whole generation was divided up by the state and told to survive.  I'll reserve judgement on my grand parents, who were that generation, because I am just as much a sinner as them. But I have been blessed with Gospel and the love and forgiveness God provides.  I may never know if my grand folks ever came to that point. But my parents did and as a result raised us to fear and love God.  Not fear Him in the way you naturally come to think. But to fear what would happen if we went to eternity never knowing Him.  I thank my mom and dad for that. And in spite of every tough time, pain, or worry I know I am redeemed and Saved.  Thank you mom and dad.   I want to publically share this because a few times I have publicly complained about how I was raised.   I was afraid of my dad and feared when he came home each day because I didn't know the stress he was going through just to raise 4 kids in the Jimmy Carter era. (Maybe I am being unfair for bringing politics into this but put Jimmy Carter and Jerry Brown into the mix it is so easy to compare BO and Jerry Brown of today. )  It is tough. I don't blame them, completely, for our current struggles. I am hard headed and have continued to pursue a life as a traveling performer with his family when gas is at all time highs, insurance is at all time highs, regulations are un-AMerican (the joke going around the internet is "I am from the land of the free, and I have the permits to prove it."  It's less of a joke when you own a business. Especially one on a shoe-string.
I want to thank the folks who have donated money to use via pay pal (victor @vicorkent.com). We refuse to let the economy of today beat a Christian, family friendly, Liberty loving, constitution supporting family....namely, us beat us We may need help this year. But to surrender let's them  win.   We want to bring a clean family values show to America and beyond. We refuse to buy into PC crap and we will fight until we have nothing left to fight with.
So why do I give such a passionate speech right now? Because as I age the company, the show will be handed over to those kids in the family that want it. And I have two kids graduating college over the next 2 years and i want something better for them.
They deserve the America my ancestor who came here from Scotland 400 years ago (and never owned a slave, and fought for the North, not the South, though I support the south's state rights opinion...not slavery...is my preference) (READ THAT AGAIN SO IF YOU DECIDE TO ARGUE YOU DON'T COME OUT SOUNDING LIKE AN ASS).  Here is some trivia: which president (the north or the south that was personally opposed to slavery?  Second question: witch president, the north or the south that said if keeping slavery would keep the union together he would not oppose it?  you might be surprised how what you were taught is school has been a bit ....shall we say tainted.)

Gizzards and Arts

While Jim is hard at work this week marketing like a maniac I took the rest of the crew over to a vendors' Mall. That is a store that has booth spaces and each space has various goods for sale. Sometimes they are antiques, sometimes, sundries of every type, tools, furniture, etc.  Basically indoor flea concession flea market. As the economy has been circling the toilet more and more of these second hand stores are popping up and they are all busy.   They are a lot of fun too. You run into all kinds of old things or unique things that  you might not be able to find anywhere else.   Today there was one section that had 8 tract tapes.
In one area there were tools and I found a box of clamps and challenged the kids to put them on their noses.....they did.....but not for very long.

The owner's very large cat lives in the store. I mean large. Fat might describe her better. But supper friendly.

The weather today started off with crazy strong wind. It was cold for most the day but by evening was nice.

I was hoping we could turn tomorrow into fishing day but the insurance folks arranged for the windshield on the Ford to be replaced and that means it has to sit around all day drying. So we will see what we can do.

A good chuck of the day the kids worked on their acts.  Amelia worked on the silks (a trapeze like thing) you know those long clothes that dancers perform stunts on from a trapeze rigging.   The boys tried to have a unicycle race and amazingly the novice, Wesley, beat the pro, JIm. They all have their versions of what happened. But in opinion, as long as they are practicing then good.  Besides the show work there was home school too. Everyone are working very hard in both areas.

A woman from Kalamazoo took a number of photos of the kids in practice. Apparently she has some connections so we will see if that develops into anything.

We have been slowly getting responses to Jim's marketing.  Not to jinx anything I will keep things under my hat until the contracts are signed.

There is a chicken restaurant near us that sells fired chicken Gizzards.  We decided to try them. We took video and Jim should have an edit of that soon.   Let me just say all of us except Amelia loved them.  We had them with scalloped potatoes, corn, and collard greens for dinner. Fat and happy.

Still in Kentucky

It is warming up. OK that is the weather for now...but trust me it will change. Maybe rain tomorrow.

The show: as you know our gamble to come out early and work with a great production company for the World's biggest indoor Kid's Fair paid off....we are hired again for next year and they said they will help us fill the slower month of March.   ALdo I got a call for a one day event in MO but due to it being a very short gig (2 hours) it wasn't worth the drive but we are on their radar no and they want us for an Event in May. Yay.  To fill in the giant hole called March, and a little April Jim has gotten us some library gigs that will at least cover living costs until the big shows kick in later down the road. He is also reaching out to a number of other non-typical markets as well as smaller markets to likewise help fill the holes.

I want to thank our most recent donor. A family who has watch us perform since 2003 have helped us with a donation to our Paypal account. We have had the opportunity to bless them with shows and even though they have blessed us by being a wonderful audience over the years they also blessed us with money to help keep our show afloat.  It's going to be a long one so I am throwing pride out the window....if you want to help us keep the show running along go to www.paypal.com then just send your donation to victor@victorkent.com.     It is not easy to ask folks to help. But we love performing and our clients want to hire us but sponsors are bailing on them. They are having trouble meeting all the new federal, state, and local regulations and fees. It's like the government has become a wild money eating machine. Over 3000 fairs, festivals, and civic events have vanished or on the verge of dying over the past six years. I want to give the ones still afloat a great quality show without killing them by charging them an arm and a leg. I can't do it. I guess I am too Christian, or too human.

I am sorry that I have painted our situation so dyer. But the USA is what it used to be and the free markets aren't free anymore. Our family has never tried to get maximum dollar for our show because we love to perform and we know many of the small markets that would otherwise never get a quality show so we sacrificed hot tubs, trips to spas, hookas, a swimming pool, name brand clothes, etc for something better; we take the talents God has blessed us with and we share it with others. And we keep our rates low.  I will tell you why. When Cynthia, my eldest daughter was very young, she wanted our favorite clown to come to her birthday. She was too expensive, so I did a deal exchange with her and worked it out. And I even mustered up a tip.   I knew that there are tons of kids out there that want a fun show.  I know that with what people have told us we could charge more. Several agents have told me we could get 3 or 4 times what we are making. We have turned down exploitative TV like wife swap, America's Got Talent, etc. where we we guaranteed good money (I know the show make it appear that only the winners get paid. Not in all cases if you negotiate well).  But to do those shows the producers wanted full control and that included trying to make the kids cry or be emotional (real or not).  So I said, "No".  I am sick of what passes off as reality family entertainment.....by the way "reality" is used very loosely in every one of the shows.....and here is a hint...in the shows where a strange walks up or is walked up too you may notice that you can hear them. They are wearing microphones.   Wide shots show that there is no boom mic so it has to be pre-arranged.  There are many many many other clues.  Tell ya later.

Now the day:
The kids did their first full work out in a while and everyone had sore muscles. Then after lunch we went back to Reba lake to hopefully catch some fish....no luck. We did find a great bait store (50 minnows for around $1.50 called Cain Pole in Richmond, KY.   Rob, the owner is a great guy.

When you are fishing and not catching the day sure slows down.  In the end Olivia lost about $5 in gear due to casting into trees or bad knots. And  as we all know she DOES know how to tie fishing knots.

Mami fixed corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. I know that is generally food tied to St Pat's day but since it was the day after it was OK. And no one wore green.  It was delish.....but we had to pepper it up a bit because the Irish have no concept (like the Brits) of flavor.

After dinner the kids made a fire but only had a little time to cook up some goodies and get in for bed....we may be a traveling show but we are producing super smart kids by keeping them away from public school (sorry for the jab, I know there are many wonderful public schools) but home school is 1000% better and they have lots of studies tomorrow. So early to bed.

Shout out to JC, my best buddy (along with Bill) who tired to donate some money to us but doesn't understand Paypal.....he has been a benefactor to us for so long I have withheld the info fo how to do it so if he asks just tell him you don't know.   He is the daddy of  Little Girl andTator Tot's fist puppy, Cookie.  Hey JC you told me you got his hair cut ....send me a pix so I can show hi off.

I also want to shout out to my folks. My Mom could always use all of our fan and friends' prayers due to a number of little medical things that pop up and I know that prayer works so "pray with out ceasing" (anyone know that bible verse?)

A plead and the weather

Wow, I think I need one chord of Al Gore for the fire place. or is that disrespectful who has made multi-millions on junk science and gotten half a Nobel prize that has been proven unproved.
Maybe too strong. But when you awake to you wife asking you to open the front door because the sleep has sealed it shut in what is like the ninth or tenth record ice storm for the area you get a little punchy.  We set up the trapeze in 70 degree weather yesterday to stat practice and rehearsals.....today it was frozen and not a single thing moved on it.  UGH
Wanted to fish today wut it ever got out of the 30s.
So  besides a little food shopping we spent most the day watching old movies on video. that was pretty much for the day.
Jim is building a new website and I am working on booking but the economy is killing our markt. I understand the corporate market is doing OK from colleagues but the fair and festival market is suffering a bit and the family owned theme parks area getting killed.

Our family has been all about seeing and experiencing America that is why we ave put out pleas to help us do that so I do it again tonight:
We are a strange lot. Last week I half jokingly asked for paypal donations for the unusual heating situation that happened to us (see our blog). The point was we are not a non profit and we thrive on bringing our show to small towns.  many can't bring us out due to taxes, lack of sponsors being able to sponsor due to govt, and other gov't related stuff. It hasn't changed. We don't have golden spoons in our mouths and we are no longer tied to a sponsor. (Anti Monkey Nutt Powder is being beat to death bu the ACA and can't do sponsorship anymore. Also the amusement parks we have worked with (the mom and pop ones) are: in red ink or B:'constantly being regulated or sued. So all pride aside yes we could use your donation so we can bring this last little family circus-inspired family variety show to these folks, to keep us on the road, to fight the weather, and to help those we meet along the way. Pyapal whatever you can....even a dime. Victor@victorkent.com is how you address it too. Thanks and God bless. We will put your donation to good use. We aren't aren't wealthy nor aim to be. We are a talented family that want's to show our kids the county. To show them what we are blessed with. To make it from point A to point B and then share with all those we meet. Thanks and Blessings.

If you don't know how go to Paypal.com.  Create an account or do it as a guest. Authorise victor@victorkent.com as the recipient and then dontate $1miilion dollars, more or less is fine,,,,but more is better.

We had the choice years ago  to go the route that pays more, the corporate, the theater, etc. But after doing a few small town events we realized that the day of old time quality shows visiting small towns is gone. And we like them best. But with gas as high as it is ans insurance as high as it is, and regulations as High as they are, and surprises like break downs and weather are super higher than they were before we had to make the choice....dump the small town or ask for help. We are not non profit but may end up that way if we have to. We just want to be like the old circus and vaudeville shows of yesteryor.......so if you want to help thank you. If not God bless anywy.

Hopefully tomorrow the weather will be nice fo rehearsals.

..nor sleet, will keep us from our duties.

Ok, yesterday it was in the 70s and at night the high 40s. Today it gradually grew cold and the soft light rain drops grew into sleet.  It is 28 degrees outside and little diamonds a falling from the sky. All the hoses and pipes that we "hook-up" the rv are covered in pipe insulation w\ad we will leave a faucet running ever so lightly to keep the lines from freezing up.  Last year it took half a season to empty an LP tank. This year we are already on our second tank. At over $4.50/gallon we have gone down another $85.00 plus all the costs to insulate an RV. The weather maps show us on the edge of slush and snow. Looks like Mid forties tomorrow. We hope to give fishing another chance.  I also have a meeting and several phone calls. All for food and business.
We all went to church this morning. We met up with Cynthia and Miles there. Afterwards Cynthia treated us to lunch a "Mexican Hardees". That is a Mexican Joint that took over an old Hardees building and up until recently didn't change the door handles that had "Hardees" written on them.  The for was awesome.
The rest of the day was pretty much avoiding the increasing cold weather. I suppose I am thankful for the TV in the RV now and Dish on Demand.
Surprisingly our trailer conversion (where we took our 8X10 box trailer, added insulation and vents and put a tarp up with industrial velcro, then heated it with a simple ceramic space heater is proving to be a very very ward little room. Amazingly dry too.  For the summer we have and aircon.
The only bummer of the day comes from the little itty bitty ding in the windshield turning into a really long crack with the morning cold.  When the defroster came on it just grew.  I am glad my agent talked me out of taking it off full coverage for another year. The deductible is just $50 for a windshield that should cost over $400.  Get to talk to my agent tomorrow.
Gotta say it has been a very interesting season so far.

Crappie Day

Ok, it wasn't a crappy day, it was a crappie day.  Since it is Saturday and cold calls and marketing wasn't an option and since it Being the first fully warm and night cycle in some time I took the kids to Reba Lake today. Originally I was going to take Wesley and Kyle as well but we had one stop prior to the fishing trip.  Cynthia had called and said that a package had arrived at her college PO box (she is our mail drop ere in KY.)  When we got there surprise, surprise Miles showed up out of nowhere and announced he was heading off to play ultimate frisbee, a very physical, very fast past, very crazy sport.  Both Wesley and Kyle opted to do that over fishing. So off they went.
Th package, by the way, was filled with the custom made costumes for the girls that we had ordered four months ago. The company we use are top of the line when it comes to quality but they have never gotten a costume to us on time. At least we only missed 2 days worth of shows with them.   Budget being tight we didn't get as dramatic with the designs as we did in the past. But they are pretty nice looking. Each line cut specific to their size. God help them if any of them have a growth spirt this summer.

Before I get back to my fish story let me get you caught up on a few things. First Jim is working like crazy not only doing the household helps that he does on tour (he has become our laundry man), but with social media marketing, phone calls and he is working on a new website design.  He and the boys also set up the trapeze and tightrope for training but also for us to offer locals a chance to learn some circus arts, great exercise too. We will charge folks a few bucks and that will help compensate our expenses during this swiss cheese hole called March in our schedule.   Also in a desperate moment I asked folks if they are willing to help keep our show on the road to make a donation on our paypal account (victor@victorkent.com) we got very kind responses from fans and friends.  It was never our wish to make a request like that. In fact, it is very humbling. But we want to keep the show on the road especially for those small towns and events that have been raped by the economy we all find ourselves in.  We didn't want to turn to government bailouts.  We wanted to be able to do through hard work and the grace and kindness of those who love us and our show. And yes every dime of it will go onto the ledgers and Unc Sam will surely take his share at tax time.  As the joke goes, "I live in a free country and I have the permits to prove it."

Back to the Crappie story.  Well, we went to our favorite spot on Lake Reba. Last year the girls caught rock bass, sunfish and blue gill....they love having their mom clean then deep fry them into a fish cracker of sorts.  Once deep fried the fins, head, eyes, bones, etc (guts removed) turn super crispy and just like a cracker.   Well, no bites.  The man directly behind us was having the day of his life.  His name was TY and unlike everyone else on the lake he found the honeyhole. He pulled in 7 crappie ranging in size from 8 or so inches to nearly 1.7lbs.  And he was only doing it for the sport. He was going to release them.  He asked if we wanted them and low and behold we had dinner.

Now Ty took the time to show me how he was rigging up and where to cast and I was by his side for over 90 minutes and didn't get so much as a nibble.  While he just kept pulling them in. It was amazing.  He also gave me tips on local bait shops and we shared stories that only fishermen can appreciate Meanwhile I was spending a lot of time helping Amelia getting her rigging unstuck from trees and whatever it was that ate her tackle in the water.   Victor was a bit more ambitious going after Bass with his new Bait Caster style reel and hand made rod (made b my god brother, Steve.)  Bait casters take care and practice. SO Victor had a few tangles on the reel to seal with.  I was a coward and used my spin reel to be safe.  It was Steve's personal rod he made for himself but gave to me and man is it spectacular. I am blessed with a great god brother.
And we were blessed with Ty.

Here are the fish and Ty:

The Kent Family Circus Promo

Wonderful Day in the Middle of Kentucky

Hard to believe that just two days ago it was below freezing. Though there is a crispness to the air the day was perfect for the kids to work on their routines. They also did their daily homeschool work and had an epic game of extreme frisbee.
Jim and I have been working on marketing. Too early to say for sure but we may be going back to our all time favorite state (in the summer).  Originally, a few weeks back they passed on us, but today I got an email explaining that they are considering us after all.  I will keep you informed.
Our Rv neighbor is a very kind woman from Ohio who had to move down here temporarily because this is where she was able to find work.  There are a lot of these kind of workers. We noticed it a couple years ago but it seems to be increasing year by year. Signs of the times.
Jim is working on a great video using footage from out Louisville show.  Hope to show you that soon.'
Best to you all

Here is the hard core truth

What I am about to write is hard. It is hard core. It is the hard core truth. The Kent Family Circus is a dream based on a family, a real family, with talent and a lot of love for performing. We also love the Lord.
Politics have always been a fun subject to write about  but never (until recently) has it affected us. And has it hit hard....especially the ACA and other radical things. Truth is this could be our last year on the road. We are marketing and pushing hard to fill our Swiss cheese schedule we have this year but main stream America is broke. But we won't say die. I believe that this country is made up of dreamers and movers and shakers. So I plan on doing this until I can't. I don't want to be tricky and become a non-profit or go after a government handout. I want to bring love and joy, and entertainment to as many people as we can. But we may need your help.

It pains me beyond believe to even suggest that you, our fans and friends, give to help us keep the wheels rollings. If you want and only if you want we have a Paypal account under victor@victorkent.com where you can donate money to keep our old fashioned America show biz on the road.   I can't grantee anything.   You will be helping us stay afloat and help our kids see America  and America a chance to see us and since we try to keep our rates low for the small towns you will be helping towns that otherwise can't afford us bring in our show.
It's a very humbling thing to ask this but it is better than to ask Uncle Sam or a bank.
Along the way we plan on giving everyday kids a chance to learn circus arts as well. We are doing that here in Berea starting next week.
I thank you. And I bless you
Victor

When it rains it pours!

We all know Murphy's law. As a Scot-descent I can appreciate why it is named after a Irishman. (Just razzing all my Mic friends.)  Today was supposed to be a lay back and let the weather dry stuff out so tomorrow we can start setting up for rehearsals. You know give my back a rest (those not in the  know I have major nerve damage and they are going to try and install an electronic stimulator into my spinal cord in the fall. They wanted to do it earlier but have tour must travel. Well, today was going to be a "love the back" day. BUT, a large envelope with work in it came from home, the RV water pressure vanished, and my bank wanted some papers signed and scanned and sent to them....but my scanner didn't want to be a scanner and I had to do an online search for a driver to make it want to scan again.   All this happened within minutes of each other.
The water problem was the most interesting. We tried changing hoses, valves, etc, etc. at one point I pushed a button and a jet of water shot me dead in the face.  Luckily Kyle was the only one to see it and he doesn;t talk mush.  But when I turned around and looked up at him he sure had a smile the size of Montana on his face. He has his dad's humor.
After we checked everything I decided to go online to Fleetwood forums and a common problem with the water pressure actually came out of them wanting to improve the water in the RV.  There is a built in home style water filter in one of the bays.   Turns out if you remove that you get nice water pressure. So we will stick with the on the hose filter. That means I spent $20 on a fliter that I don't need.

COOOOOLD and always check your levels.

This time yesterday it was 60 degrees (11pm) and was as high as 70 something during the day. Right now it is less than 30 degrees and expected to fall below 20. Global warming at work again....and believe me I have talked to those nut jobs, they have an excuse how man made global warming is causing the coldest winter since they kept record 60 years ago.  But I am being rude calling these loons nut jobs so forgive me. I think the weather is affecting their senses.

We made a big booboo today. We forgot to do a daily tank level check. And well past the pumps were closed we noticed the lp gas was on empty.  So I had to run down to Walmart and buy a couple of very nice space heaters. They are the same type I got for the trailer to bunk house conversion. Since we have never left this early before and haven't had to use the heater as much, not to mention with the bigger RV came bigger tanks and so longer showers and we never ran out of LP gas so fast. Last year we only had to refill once.   Well, that is our oops.  We did have to find a circuit in the RV that wasn't loaded because we popped a circuit breaker when we turned on on at first. Even electricity has it's limits. That was $40+ I didn't want to spend (donations to the Kent heater fund paypal.com user name victorkent (sorta kidding).

Today was spent (for me sleeping in) and running around KY finding the things we need to convert the trailer to a bunk house. The boys then installed the insulation and such.  I found out later that they only glued in the ceiling foam.  One drive down a bumpy road and they will realize they should have glued the wall foam in too.   I went into the new bunk house today and it was surprisingly warm.  But the real test will come tonight when it hits below 20.

Cousin Wes joined up with us yesterday and his family (my cousins stayed the night and raced the snow back to Toledo today. I missed seeing them today as I was out cold.  This is a really bad back year for me (those not in the know I have major spinal damage; the docs wanted to put an electronic stimulator in before I left but there was no time...so guess how I am spending my winter....and I buy my own insurance (and even if I had ACA who know how much that is going to run ....donations to the Kent spinal fund  paypal user name victorkent (half kidding)

Miles came out for a visit.  We finally got the gifts from our relatives in Japan that he brought back....back around New years.  Thank you to our Japanese Family (that includes you Eddie.)

It was enjoyable to watch a light dusting of snow flakes today. Nothing stuck. It was just beautiful.

We are hoping it arms up (it's supposed to) as we want to go fishing.

We are also doing a bunch of marketing. We were supposed to be doing schools. Two districts were going to have us come in but the snow days killed that. Many schools have as much as a month of lost days to make up. Donations to keep us from starving can be made at paypal under the name Victorkent.  (That is half a joke.)

Really we aren't worried as God has always provided.

Before I sign off put Berea, Ky on your Bucket list. It is a beautiful place....especially if you visit the old town on the surrounding nature.

The RV park owners have given us permission to set the show up so we can practice and get the new folks and new routines ready for the full season.  We will do some smaller gigs between now and then.  So why did we leave early?  Connections, God's call, and adventure.
I will post some pix tomorrow....for now here are some Face book pix from Miles and CC.
