For the first time since Early early early May we are back in Cali. That same depressing feeling I get when I return to this state hit me again. We slept in Bakersfield, then gassed up and dined on a nice breakfast in a grocery store parking lot. We are so sick of restaurant food! I was shocked at the prices of things. Blown away might be a better description. Gas is nearly a dollar more than other states, as is milk, and orange juice. Nothing was cheaper though there were a couple of things that were similar in price. The most shocking thing is water. Bottled water (cases of 24) is $2.99 almost everywhere with no CRV fees. Here it is $3.99 plus $1.20 CRV. When you drink a ton of water on the road that can add up. We are buying big jugs instead of little bottles now.
Our spot at the fair seems like a nice area. We are on grass and have been provided a huge lot. I will post pics tomorrow. The fair staff has been very nice here. Our set up is very similar to the setup we did last week in Arizona.
All quiet on the western front.
Good night.
