Southern Cal Commute

Through on and off showers passing two big rig accidents and carefully sticking to the 55 MPH speed limit for pulling a trailer in California we've made it to the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Ca (LA area). We were surprised when we arrived how cold and windy it is down here. Is this really Southern Cal? Sun tanned faces at the event were traded in for red wind burned faces. Even the director of the event, who always wears shorts, was seriously thinking about putting on long pants. There was on spectacle on the drive down. We saw a helicopter, with its rotor spinning, sitting on top of a tanker truck. It was one of those sprayer copters and her was refilling his tanks. It was very cool to watch. Belle was under the wether all day. She threw up a couple of times and had diahrea. But by evening she was hodling things down and through it all she had a ton of energy. Since the wind and the threat of thunderstorms loomed we put off setting up until tomorrow so we hit El Pollo Loco for dinner and now well stuffed we will hit the sack early. Shows start at 5pm tomorrow.
