Fair Mgr Doug and Pink Gorilla (Miles)
Cheese Steak Sandwich

Firewhip
New sign...I screwd up on the time.

Since we are located in the only building on the fairgrounds transient fairgoers have no idea we are there unless they have a schedule or are searching us out. So I set out this morning to get the supplies needed to make a sign that lights ups and sill call attention to us in the building. Office Depot was the first stop and no ideas or products were on hand there. Lowes was next and I picked up the wood and other supplies needed to build a nice sign. But I still need nice lettering so I found a banner shop and low and behold they also had a nice plastic sandwich sign board that with the lettering would cost less than building one myself. So I ordered it. Then drove back to return the wood and stuff at Lowes. They rushed my order at no extra cost and It turned out real nice. I did add rope lighting so it would stand out in the evenings.
Cynthia was back in the show tonight and did well.
Audiences were rather small due to three things: #1 Pageant Night. It’s a big thing out here as many girls from here move on to state. #2 Tractor Tug-o-war night. In a town where Nascar is big it is no wonder this would be big. #3 We are in the Bible Belt and many many folks are at bible study, youth groups, vespers, etc.
The first audience was in TV mode and was hard to move. Granted it was hot and many of the folks were pageant parents who are notoriously cold blooded. Audience two was a little better but still we had to work real hard to motivate them. Audience three was awesome but still small. One young couple, Cody and Kendra, came to every show. They were wonderful.
Noticed a screw in one of the tires of our van so tomorrow morning we will have to take it in for extraction and plugging. Then we will drive the 10 miles to Corbin to the original Sanders Café and enjoy the original KFC.
One of the Fair board member’s daughters has been waiting a whole year for us to come back. Seems she has a crush on Miles. She is a very sweet thing and comes from a really nice family. Aww to be 14 again!
Buttercup has been trying to make a break for it. Seems the temp lid I made for glass case wasn’t good enough. That little sucker is a master escape artist so he’s been put back into his travel cage.
