August 2 Rain and Rain Again

Leaf Bug in our tent.
In spite of the rain the crowd counted out over 150.
Hard to take picture of the rain falling.
Is that a fuzzy fur hat or just a visor I am wearing....the color is identical.
The HAT was a gift from a vendor at the MN fair.

It was suppose to rain on our first day...it didn't. it was supposed to rain yesterday...it didn't. It was supposed to rain today...it did...but a lot less than predicted. As of right now only two really big downpours. The first happened shortly after we arrived. In spite of the rain there were enough people to fill our tent. We had a captured audience. The rain stopped about 5 minutes after the show. The second downpour happened right as our last show was ending. All three shows had BIG audiences: no show had less than 150-200 people.

James was a real trooper. In spite of a sprinkling he went out and did his street show and believe it or not a crowd actually gathered and stood in the rain to watch...the whole show...20 minutes. He even made a few tips.

Amelia and Olivia hung out with their various friends today....Jenna the Lemonade lady, and then the vendor kids who come by each day. Then there were the new friends...just audience members' kids who were just hangin' out.

Only one day more and we begin our trek back to Cali. We were going to site see our way home but with James off to college and Cynthia to band camp and new school for Miles and Amelia we have a lot of prep at home waiting for us. So we will do a steady but casual drive home. We will keep even those days as Blog entries.
