(The wrap up will continue tomorrow)
Yesterday a buddy of mine and I drove up to Reno to pick up the axle-bent trailer and bring her home. She had been sitting in a field owned by a man named Kelly whom I met at a Uhaul when we first broke down there at the start of the tour. He is a very kind man. The round trip took a little over six hours with a stop for food at Circus Circus and Bill (the buddy) helped make the time pass by sharing his stories of his walk across the US back in the 70s.
Today was spent visiting a sick friend (terminal cancer) in the Bay area with my wife and another childhood friend and his wife. Paul, the sick friend, is an incredible man with a will to live like no other. In spite of spectacular odds he has been beating the doctors' odds. His wife has been just as spectacular in her dedication to Paul. He is indeed blessed. And I am blessed to know two such people.
