Sorry we haven't blogged in for a couple of days.

To catch you up....

We had a blast at the Laurel County Fair. We made a ton of friends and every show went very well. We performed daily 6:30pm, 8pm and 10:30PM. The last night (Saturday) we finished our last show a little late because we had a great audience and gave them everything we had. After the show we took the little ones and Princess Cynthia back to the hotel to get a head start on sleep as the big boys and Victor Kent Sr packed up the stage and show. It's a cumbersome process since everything has to come out of the trailer so the stage panels can be folded up and placed in first...then everything gets put on them...it all has to be balanced out right for proper weight distribution (fuel economy, tire wear and safety.)

By 1:30am we were done and back at the hotel by 2:30 we were asleep.

We slept late on Sunday. It was a free day (more or less). After a late b-fast we hit the Walmart, gassed up and headed out of town. On the way out of London there is a great gift pavilion of sorts called Dog Patch Trading Post. Amongst the made in China stuff (most of the stuff) there were some great gems including a little brown jug made in America ( We bought it...as a prop for future themed shows.) I forgot if I mentioned that a very kind man at the fair had given me a bottle of White lightning...moonshine.....I won't be putting it in the jug.

We drove to Bowling Green and gained an hour on the way. (Kentucky has Central time on the west and Eastern time on the East.) We dropped by our hotel and checked in. The hotel is right across for the Corvette Museum/factory. (This week in Corvette homecoming).

From there we went to Beech Bend Park, our home for the next 8 days). We were given the liberty to choose our performing spot. We choose a great old round building (Roofed, no sides). It was the old Carousel Building. (The park has a long history. It was owned by Mel Tillis at one time and our new stage area was a classic wood carved carousel back then.

We took the late afternoon to go ahead and set the stage. We also caught a part of a young singing dancing magic show. They had just a couple of illusions but it was fun.

There is a second magic show called Dinky Gowan Master of Illusion. He's a high energy guy with a cute girl assisting/co-starring. It too is a fun show.

As I write this it is Tuesday. We have performed two full days to packed crowds and great responses. We have been greatly blessed with the audiences and the staff around us. The kids get the bonus of being able to partake in the rides and activities at the park.

The only pitfall so far is Princess Olivia having a 48 hour fever. It made sleeping impossible, and made her very grumpy. She is 12 hours into being feverless and we pray it continues.

A little insight into how we travel I should tell you we carry a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot plate and Foreman grill. So instead of eating fast food we go to the grocer and get real food. Sometimes it's the microwavable stuff, sometimes we have to grill it our boil it.....no problem.

We are also going soda-less this trip (Out here we say pop-less). We are having juices, teas or milk.
