July 9,2008 Pour Rain Pour
Well, today we all woke up very reluctantly to eat breakfast before it was done. Everyone was very tired but, the good breakast really woke us up. Most of us that is because James didn't show up to breakfast and Victor went right to sleep after breakfast. It was a lazy day until lunch when we ate at Weavers Hotdogs. Pictures of the people and places in the town covered the walls. the food was amazing and the place gave a real feel of community. after lunch we headed to the fair. After everything was set up we immediatly had to tear it diwn because of the rain clouds moving in. The rain came pouring down and getting bigger drops as it went on for maybe five minutes. Just in that small amout of time the fair was flooded in many places and the water was being pushes out by brooms. Thankfully that was the last rain of the day but, the rain mixed in with the humidity ruined the CD player making it pretty hard to play music for the show. the day went on nicely with the first show at 6:30. Maybe I spoke too soon about the "nicely" part because that was a not so good show technical wise; the audience was fine. During the second show we were not expecting a big crowed due to the pagents and the destruction derby but, we were plesantly surprised at the turn out. That show went smoothly with only Olivia and Amelia missing their cues because of avoiding the very wet and flooded ground. There was a little wait in between the next show so Amelia talked to some teenage girls with Olivia, Victor Jr. hung out with Victor(his dad,) James was out strolling as a stilt walker, and Cynthia was making balloon animals for kids as a clown. The last show came with sucess and a great friendly audience. In no time we were packed up and headed for home; that is, the hotel. The day went great and tommorrow will hopefully be even better.
