Hotels motels and dumps

I had a few moments so I thought I would address accommodations.
(I am writing this after a rough night in our current hotel being awakened by bikers and having to wait a long time to bathe due to slwo draining...read on).
One common question for us is do we travel in a motor home/trailer or do we stay in the tents behind the stage (our backstage-greenroom-storage-dressing room-barn) . Well we always stay in hotels, motels or dumps. We prefer the first two but (like here in Bowling Green) we end up in a dump. Mostly the hotel choice is the clients. Most respect acts enough to put us in Holiday Inn Express, Marriott Courtyard, Hampton Inn or another hotel of that ilk. Nothing against it but, Some just try for the best bargain without really knowing what the rooms are like. ((I should mention that clients will often barter for rooms-rooms for advertising, rooms for tickets, etc. Some clients will just buy the rooms for the acts. )) In some cases the hotel will take advantage of the client giving the worst rooms to them in the barter deal (since the client doesn't stay in the room, their acts do, the client rarely ever know the rooms aren't that good.
Our current hotel (name to be left out unless they REALLY tick us off) is the place where bikers, truckers, and one night stands stay. We have been awaken by the former two several times this week. The bath drains at it's own invented pace....very very slow. The shower head has it's own invented angle and pressure as well. It looks like it was built in the 50's and has gone through renovations in stages but never by anyone with the remotest idea of spackling, drywalling, tiling, or carpentry in general. The box springs are also stained and have shards of cloth from the underside hanging down. One of my duaghters also awoke with a whole bunch of timy bug bites on her chest and tummy.
Now, don't get me wrong I am not peeved at the hotel, they are what they are. I amnot peeved at the client, they are very nice (they really are extremely kind people and very generous...I am sure they are just unaware.... I don't think they have ever stayed at this hotel.
On the defense of the hotel the beds are comfortable and the TV works (though we watch very little). No microwave, fridge, etc.

Bikers are nice guys. Noisy, rude, but nice. The Harley with no muffler to speak of that woke us at 5am is and example of rude and noisy. But the shirtless guy with the leather vest with the hot blond with the sun beaten face who are sitting on the stoop outside their room (next to ours) in the morning when we leave and are there when we get back in the eve are nice. Always a friendly hello and smile.
