Sunday in Middlebury---George Lopez

There are a lot of 'burys" out here....Middlebury, Southburry, Waterburry, Wood Bury, etc etc.
Today was overcast all day...it was like Seattle. It was pretty cool, bordering on cold. Global warming people kiss my........................solar flare. There was a 50% chance of thunderstorms. But that didn't materialize until right after our last show. Still it really was more of a little shower. Still the threat of the storm was told to us at the end of the storm and we announced it's impending approach to the crowd which put a damper on our sales. Oh well. Bummer, since it really didn't materialize as anything significant.
We headed into nearby Nagatuck to go shopping (cheaper than around any of the 'burys"). Walmart provided us with b-fast foods and other supplies. Then it was a grocery store and then a little diner-like-pizza-like-drive-up place. The food was alright. Jim said the Burgers we out of this world. Victor gorged himself on pizza and made his tummy hurt yet still had the "nerve" to ask if he can eat some candy on the way back to the hotel.
Picked up Dunkin Donuts for desert. (Giving them a second chance...they were pretty bad in NY). Nope they still suck. The best in the world are still found at Frosty's in Barstow, CA...size, taste, fluffy-ness, etc.
Lately as I type these notes and do other work the kids have George Lopez on TV. I have been distracted many times. I have laughed my butt off many times. As a result his humor and even his accent has snuck into my act. The kids even make fun of it....it's been unintentional .
Good news. JC is doing great. I talked to him today. You can't keep a good man down. He will do a show this Wednesday....less than one week after surgery. He's a real trooper.
