55 Gallons - The Sultan- California Weather

First, What is Kentucky doing having this California dry sunshine and no humidity. The crops are drying up and it's just weird to be out here and dry all day. It has been in the mid 80s all week with California weather. It is supposed to warm up, but the humidity still looks like it will stay under 70%. Why that's not KY!

In our little pavilion we had 200 people at the first show. 120 at the second and 93 at the third. Mami and Titus performed today. Mami's running gag that included our Sulcata Tortoise, The Sultan, jumping through a hoop played just as designed. It went over big.  And everyone loves to see Titus come out and perform. Many folks came up to Mami and Titus after the show to tell them how cool it was to have him in the show. Titus  loves performing.

I rode my Penny farthing around the park and for the first time attempted going up some small hills and even down the hills. Anyone with knowledge of the bike knows there are no breaks and the position of the rider can make going down a hill a head of wheels experience.  But I did well and will add it to our strolling act rotation.   While the big kids stroll in between shows the little ones go on rides with their "stalker friends" (Kids who have been coming to our show, every show, for five years.)

Good luck. If you read yesterday's blog you know the awning arm on my rv broke due to a wind gust.  Well. Turns out I was able to fix it without having to buy a new arm. To be honest, though, the awning cloth itself is getting rather old (13 years old) and may end being replaced this year.

Today Victor climbed into his 55 gallon drum of water filled to the rim. Stuck his hand out the padlocked lid (there are two small holes for arms) had them handcuffed with REAL cuffs and then escaped. Currently we are having everything down behind a curtain tube so as not to reveal how to pick a lock or handcuffs. But we are rethinking that and will have him do it in the open...actually showing the lock picking.

Dinner was homemade curry stew over rice. Very nice.

Mami and I then went out and spent $300 on food for the next 2 weeks. YIKES! I hate spending money.

We got a shipment of concessions in today. More wands, a new pink gorilla costume for Miles and 200 bullwhips for sales.
