Last Show In Clarksville, and I'll see you at the station yeah yeah yeah.

Today was the hottest of all the days at this fair. We've had California sunny and dry, low humidity all week, including today. But no doubt it was the warmest today. Only 93. The fair opened early so we adjusted the schedule to do one earlier show and put out strollers during the day and do two evening shows.  That 5pm show was tough. The sun was bearing down and was right in the eyes of the crowd. But we had a nice sized crowd in spite of it.
We ran two extra long shows in the evening to fit in a few things we wanted to do but never got around to doing. Miles did the Machete Ladder, Amelia introduced her new very playful hula hoop routine, I did my old rope routine, and a few other things.
Sales were down all week at our concession table but I am hoping it is only this area. But with Obamanomics it may be all over....I hope not.   I was surprised how well the "Strange Thing Zibit" did.
Calls from home tell me my ma is doing really well recovering form surgery and all. Thanks for those how asked. Keep the prayers coming.
Tomorrow we drive down to Bowling Green to Beech Bend Park. (90 Minutes away.) SOme of the locals here have said they plan on coming.
Mami and Titus missed out on the show today because our van got blocked in so quickly. There was a lot going on at the fair today including a very big BBQ competition, smash up derby, various eating contests, etc.  Outside the carnival we were the main grounds act. It was a shame but that happens sometimes.

The new machette ladder...five blades up then a jump onto broken glass.

 Onto broken glass.
