House hunting in Berea

In spite of wicked thunder storm cells that passed through the night we were determined to go and check out a house I saw on line as our potential home. The photo to the right is a Picture I took of it half way across the front lawn. When we arrived there was a mist on the mountains but I didn't get the camera out until later and the mist was gone...it was bautimus!

After our initial visit in the morning we could find only one thing wrong with the house and that was the ground floor bathroom won't accommodate Titus' special chair rail thingy. But I looked at the construction of the room and could easily switch the placement of the sink and the tub and that problem is fixed. Thanks dad for exposing me to "do it yourself" as a kid.
In the photos above and below we pose in front of the house. No one could find a fault with it. Mami spent a lot of time painstakingly checking everything out.
Cynthia couldn't make it out due to heavy homework. Well, she gets to look at it here with you other blog readers.

Big yard!

This tree swing has been here a long time. It is suspended on a Maple tree and the rope has grown into the bark of the limb.

Giving the swing a test.

Here is a local inhabitant of the yard. A caterpillar of some type.

We changed hotels last night because the nice hotel we've been staying was sold out for last night. Sadly I made a bad choice...an Econolodge. Ugh. It smelled and felt a bit grimy. We awoke with bug bites too. Not bad just one or two...but isn't that one or two too many?
We moved back to the original hotel today.
Apparently it rained pretty darn hard most the night. The boys told us it was a pretty violent thunderstorm night last night. But my pshcyobilly RV held together. While we were looking at the house we heard a large siren and a voice come over the speakers warning of severe storms coming through...apparently that is normal for the Midwest, south, and other places where storms are nutso!
It has been a great few days out here but tomorrow, after attending church with CC, we will move on to Bowling Green to check out a few homes there. Then Waterloo, IA for shows.
