Show Number 101!

In spite of perfect weather...sunshine with a constant ebb and flow of puffy white and gray clouds...I had to give the kids "the talk" today. I think it had to do with the fact everyone has been going non-stop since we left California, or more specifically when we started our setup in Swift Current, SK Canada on July 1st. We have performed 101 shows since then. On days when we weren't performing we traveling. And though that might seem like an opportunity for some of us to rest not all of us got rest. We are tired. We love what we do. We love a good audience. We love performing. We love traveling. We love it all. But we are human and this machine we call our body tires.

"The talk" is a pep-speech (so to speak) because everyone has gotten moody. Nerves have gotten raw. Bodies are worn out. Minds are impatient. "The talk" includes a reminder of family values and Christian ethics . It also includes a few threats and a few offer of incentives....but heavier on the threats.

Our new drummer...look closer.

Heartburn!

Getting ready to turn a balloon into a dove.

Now turning a dove into a bunny.

God came tot he show today....actually He is always with us.

Howdy!

I am teaching kids how to do tricks with the magic wand they got during the show or bought after the show.
Amelia has Harry Hare Jr for people to pet.
A couple of observations. Seems California has the messiest parking lots. Seems that in Ky, OH, SK and here in CT more people put there shopping carts away.
CT store clerks are generally the rudest we have run into. They lallygag so much with each other I honestly believe you could steal the store right out from under their noses.
CT drivers rival the worst in the world. rolling stops aren't even slow enough to call a rolling stop. You WILL get cut off at any given moment. Road signs are decorations and pretty much meaningless.
CT is expensive but if you know where to go you can keep it from being super cray expensive.
The weather outside of Cali is constantly unpredictable.
Kentucky still wins ans the over all best state (beauty, friendly, cheaper, etc.)
East coast pizza and bagels beat west coast. But they can't do a decent doughnut out here. Frosty's donuts in Barstow, CA still wins.
East coast coffee is better in general to west.
Oh, I am building a cute little illusion. Since we do the Zig Zag illusion in our show with Cynthia, I thought we should do it with our spring skunks. We sell them and demonstrate them during the show. I thought a cute trick might boost sales. So I will do a mini-zig zag on a spring skunk. I should have it done by Tuesday. I had to buy a couple of tools. It's fun building things on the road.
Oh, I had to order a whole carburetor for the RV's generator. seems the Solenoid that controls the fuel flow is broke; stuck open. They don't sell them separate from the full carburetor. So it arrives tomorrow. One of the mechanics, Wayne the welder, has told me he will help me out. I tell you those shop guys are awesome.
Alrighty then. That is it for now. Rock on and God Bless!
