TV and today

We had to wake up early today. I really didn't want to. But we had to promote our show for the park and that meant TV. We had to drive down to New Haven through the Yale campus and into downtown. When we arrived our pass code didn't work at the gate but an employee helped us out and used their pass card to get us in. Once we were signed in we went about meeting everyone. many we had met last year. There was a new anchor. We were told one anchor from last year moved to the evening shift and the other moved on. We would find out at a pizza place in the evening that the host from last year who "moved on" was actually doing time because she was caught shop lifting earlier this year. YIKES.
Our easy morning of filming would not be easy. A shooting in Hartford at a bottling company would put the station in constant update mode and
we would be held off from taping until the updates were through. Our hearts go out to the three who died.

Being us we took opportunities (between calls for quiet) to goof off. Olivia made a Buttercup hat.

Miles practiced the diabolo.

Jim enjoyed some tomato pie after the shoot. The guest chef that day made it and it was awesome.

Pre-shoot we went over ideas for the spot.

We blocked out Jim's very heavy chair balance too.

Wait wait wait. (We hadn't had b-fast either.)

Jim practice. Keep you chin up Jim!
We finally got the shoot done then rushed off to the park. Our first show was at 1 but we would get there around 12:30. That meant our show would start late. No problem. We had it all ready by 1:15 and pulled off an awesome show. The crowd was big and they were int he mood. It was fabulous. In fact all three shows were STO and in the mood to be entertained. We were, however, pooped and in the mood for bed.
We hit the mall on the way back to visit the only bank brand I use. (Since they aren't a sponsor I won't mention their name. )
Then we ran past a pizza place we ate at last year, Ninos.
It was fabulous. Their Ricotta tomato pizza was wow!
While waiting for the pies to cook we ran to a grocery store and picked up the things Mami called in for us to get. We knew this area pretty well as it was where the hotel we stayed in last year when Victor broke his clavicle.
We look forward to things stablizing tomorrow when we can go swimming, visit with nearby relatives, and relax a bit more. Mami and Titus will join us tomorrow as well.
