Our shows all had good sized audiences and we had a blast doing them. But I have to confess today was a bit tough. My back spasm from three days ago is at the point where I am stiff and achy. Jim didn't get enough sleep last night and I think his mind has been on a certain person so his performance wasn't as clean as normal....but the crowds loved us anyway...PTL
Mami and Titus took the day off both for comfort and because Titus was a little under the weather today. But it gave Mami time to get stuff done like laundry and home school prep.
Being Sunday we did take a little time to do some Bible study. We covered James 3:13-18...give it a read!
Overcast skies and the threat of rain kept it form getting too hot but the humidity was off the charts. More on the humidity in a moment.
We finally opened the whole chicken in a can...they weren't kidding....
Back to humidity. I have been avoiding my tie at the shows as my neck chaffs. I mentioned it to Jim Lavender (a supervisor at the park) and he told me about "Money Butt" an anti-chaffing powder.....
Turns out it is called Anti-Monkey Butt Powder. It worked!
A little fun with Belle. She has been doing well and we are building a stand for her to sit on and an illusion to make her appear.
Jim and Cynthia practice ball passing...hoping to add that to the show. In fact we have been adding a lot of new or retired tricks into the show for fun. Amelia has been mind-reading the serial number off a dollar bill held by an audience member....I am no where near either...quiet cool.
During the curtain call for bows tonight I called each kid on stage but when I came to Olivia and pointed to the curtain no one appeared. So I did it again....no Olivia. I assumed she fell asleep so that is what I told the audience. Later she showed up and I asked her if she was asleep and she said, "no, I was tied up". Apparently the kids were practicing escapes backstage.
All the Canada Blogs are up so visit our video blog page for those. I am starting on London, KY and will have it up soon.
Cheers,
