First let me mention that the picture on the left is a feed store....but since it says Kent Feeds I decided to show you who Kent feeds.....and boy can they eat.
We are doing our show in a tent provided by our local sponsor. It is a 32X50ish foot tent and about 22 feet high. We had to lower one side of the BMT and use the BMT area as our show ring. Our ideal space is 70-100 feet by 44. We are using 33X20. It's a tight fit but we are making it work. We were also given only 2 20 amp circuits and we have sound, lights, effect and an occasional microwave or hotplate to run. On top of that the jump house next door and the sponsor took two of the plugs. So our set up looks a bit like and octopus. Tomorrow the grounds guy scoldinglly promised me more power, as though it was my fault he provided me a tent with no lighting and inadequate power.
Otherwise everyone has been wonderful. Our tent is tucked away in a corner with a catering truck blocking it's view from part of the grounds. But since space is limited it can'be helped. I feel bad that they are paying us so well only to have us reduce our show and have low drawing due to inadequate seating and blocked location. We do have our "stalkers" (AKA fans) who have been at every show. ANd the reviews from everyone who has watched have been great.
Midori pulled off a beautiful Lyra routine and Cynthia is slowly getting our back stage area looking better and the little ones hair and costumes looking great.
Jim juggles on the wire as some of our new lighting effects are dancing around him.

Below is also a picture of the birthday girl...Amelia is 8 today (and I am 46). She got a dress, sandals, a tiny stuffed pig and a nice camera.
The tight fit made our regular 2- 3 hour setup a nearly 5-6hour ordeal and it was stressful to know we could do a better draw in a better location without the tent. But things are what they are and like I said everyone (except the grounds man) have been wonderful. Our local sponsors have been peaches!
