Last Day at Beech Bend

The two week run here in BG ended almost as it started....HOT.  It was soul draining. The humidity sucked the life out of all of us.  yet we endured and still pulled in good crowds. The last show began as a blast of wind nearly took down the entire back drop set.  It was the edge of a humongous storm cell that was heading our way.  The doplar radar showed us right in it's path.  But the storm broke up and went west of us.  The breeze did bring a reprise from the heat. It dropped to the low 80s and a soft wind continued to blow throughout the show.

Afterward the "stalkers" (kids who come to all or very many of our shows during our stay) came over and shared hugs and good-byes with us all. We even took a few snap shots.

I have to admit during this two week gig the heat wave nearly did us all in at one time or another.  We all got nausea at least once. We all lost weight from the sweating and hard work in the heat.  We introduced new stunts and tricks this week and we made new friends.

Tator Tot turned one this week as well.

As you can tell by my short writing I am beat.  I will post the pix and talk with you again soon.

 Hot day.
 RED shirt means last day.
